About Me

A hybrid of engineer, builder, designer, and storyteller based in Zulte, Belgium.

Professional Journey

Hi, I'm Jan Blomme, a hybrid of engineer, builder, designer, and storyteller based in Zulte, Belgium. I'm currently studying Multimedia Creative Technologies at HOWEST, with a strong specialization in AI engineering and XR development, and I've completed an exchange at Portsmouth University in the Faculty of Creative and Cultural Industries.

But degrees only tell half the story. What really defines me is how I build things that actually work. I don't just write code. I design systems, build devices, tune interfaces, and connect every layer from microcontroller firmware to intuitive user experience.

Core Strengths

Practical Problem Solver

I don't chase buzzwords. I design, test, break, and rebuild until it works.

Fast Learner

I adapt to new languages, stacks, and platforms quickly.

Independent but Collaborative

I thrive solo but bring leadership when needed.

Visually Literate

I understand interface, feedback, and design decisions.

Full-Stack Thinker

From soldering joints to cloud APIs, I connect everything.

What Makes Me Different

Most developers stay digital. I bridge the digital and physical. I'm not afraid to solder something at 3AM, write firmware from scratch, or design a UI that doesn't just "work", it feels right.

My tools are made to be used. My apps are designed to be intuitive. My stack doesn't care about trends, only results. And my mission is simple: build tools, apps, and experiences that do something real.

Whether it's a tactile XR controller made from wood and ball bearings, a local-first study suite with full offline support, or a fully integrated IoT cocktail machine, I'm constantly fusing creativity and engineering into real, usable tools."
